I love Pec because it was the best place to grow up. I remember spending long days playing at the fairgrounds and near the river. I spent most of my time playing baseball or football with friends. There was no crime and everyone was friendly. I miss the people I went to grade school and high school with. My classmates were all great people. I live in Memphis, TN and Memphis is no Pecatonica. Thanks for the memories, from Doug Howard, Pecatonica High School class of 1972.

I have lived here since 1954 and have no plans to move somewhere else. If you have a problem, someone is ready to help you. You know your neighbors and their kids.

9 2008/1/1 A great town to live and grow up in

I have grown up in this whole town my whole life and am now raising my son in this town. I love the small town life and the people in this town. However this love is bitter sweet, although I will probably spend the rest of my life in this town, now that other people from the \"big city\" have also disovered it too the town is growing and growing. Not that I don\'t want to welcome them to our town, but where will the growing end.

The town where everyone knows your name and those of your relatives that used to cause all the trouble back in the day. LOL. Where you can try and walk for excercise and 5 people stop you and ask you if you need a ride home. Directions in a small town are better given by turning at \"the old johnson farm\". I just love this town !! As said my Montgomery Gentry - \"This is my town\"

it was a great town to grow up in.

We still have a block party every year and many of the children and grandchildren of the older residents come back.

I still know most of the families on the block I grew up on and to this day I can count on them. They were great to my mother when she broke her leg and ankle withvisiting, bringing activities and movies to her, bringing dinner and eating there with her.

People take care of each other and say hi to their neighbors

People watch out for other peoples children.
